Vitreous China Manufacturing Process
Every ceramic basin in this category is produced through a controlled production line: slip casting, drying, glazing and high-temperature firing at 1200°C+. The vitreous china body is dense and non-porous, which means stains, limescale and cleaning chemicals do not penetrate the surface. The double-layer glaze finish is fired to a smooth, glossy surface that stays white and easy to clean over years of commercial use. Color-glazed basins are produced with reactive glazes that create subtle tonal variation – an intentional designer feature that suits boutique hospitality interiors. For private-label buyers, customisation covers more than colour: we can adjust tap-hole configurations, add overflow or remove it, engrave a logo into the glaze, and produce custom cartons with your branding and barcodes. Quality Assurance and Testing
Every batch of ceramic wash basins is subject to our in-house quality assurance programme: glaze inspection under workshop lighting, dimensional checks against the approved drawing, water absorption testing and a drop-test on random samples before packing. For markets that require third-party verification, we arrange SGS or Bureau Veritas inspection at the factory before shipment, and the inspection report is shared with you before the container is loaded.
Installation and Care
Ceramic wash basins are simple to install when the basics are right. Countertop models should be sealed with silicone around the rim where the basin meets the surface, and vessel basins benefit from a clear sealant bead underneath the rim to prevent water creeping into the cabinet. For daily care, vitreous china only needs a soft cloth and mild detergent – abrasive powders and acidic descalers should be avoided because they can dull the glaze over time.
